5. Balloons and ribbons  of choice  

Let's Get Started

1. Open two new files in PSP  ( file > new )  sized  665 x 600 pixels , tick the transparent box , click, ok. .Open paper # 10 and  paper # 6  from CC kit . Copy and paste each paper onto each new file " as new layer"  > layers > merge visible. Delete original papers.  Open WSL mask # 143 and #  167.  Starting with mask #  167 > layers > new mask layer > from image.  Image > resize to 120%  > Copy and paste onto new file created with paper # 10 " as new layer" > get move tool and center on file > layers > merge visible.  Left click on  WSL mask #  143 > layers > new mask layer > from image.  Copy and paste onto paper # 6 " as new layer "  > layers > merge visible.  You should now have two papered masks.  Delete original masks and original new mask layers .  Copy and paste the mask that looks like a flower , ( which is papered mask # 143 )  onto papered mask # 167 > layers > merge visible.   Delete the original  flowered mask you created

2. Open Splat from kit , resize to 135 %. Adjust > sharpen. Double click on splat in layers palette, decrease opacity to 40 %  . Copy and paste " as new layer" onto masks. Layers > merge visible.

3. Open Balloons of choice and resize to fit tag > adjust > sharpen . Change materials palette to Gradient gold for FG and BG. Type out  2011. Copy and paste onto Balloons . Copy and paste balloons onto tag as shown on left upper side, staggering them. Open ribbon of choice and copy and paste onto balloons " as new selection"  > effects > 3D effects > drop shadow > selections > select none.

4. Open mesh 2 from CC kit. Image > rotate right .  Copy and paste onto tag " as new selection" and position as shown staying 2 blocks from bottom , four blocks from right side  and three blocks from left side of tag > effects > 3D effects > drop shadow :  vertical 1, horizontal 1 blurr 1, opacity 90, color black > click OK.  > selections > select none.  Image > resize to 90% > adjust > sharpen .  Layers > duplicate.  Close off top layer in layers palette, highlight lower layer  > adjust > add/remove noise > add noise >  uniform > 40%.  Close off bottom layer by clicking on little eye in layers palette. Open top layer > adjust > add'/remove noise > uniform > 50 % . Close off layer . >  highlight lower layer  and open it. Copy and paste to animation shop " as new animation" . . Open top layer > highlight it> copy and paste to animation shop " after current selection". Leave this set in animation shop for later steps .

5. Open a new image in PSP, tick, transparent box , same size as before. Open mirrored ball from CC kit. Image > resize to 85% > edit > resize twice more > adjust > sharpen . Copy and paste ball onto new image " as new selection " and position as shown, centered and  7 blocks from the top of tag. Effects > 3D effects . drop shadow : vertical 3, horizontal 2, blurr 4, opacity 100 color black  > selections > select none.

6. Open pocket watch with blue bow from CC kit. Image > resize to 85% > edit > repeat resize twice more. Adjust > sharpen >  copy and paste onto mirrored ball " as new selection and position as shown , tip of blue bow should be two blocks off top of tag and watch centered on mirrored ball. > effects > 3D effects > selections > select none. Using your selection tool, shape circle, start in center of nose on Barbara Jensen tube and  hold down left click on mouse and pull outward covering most of face , release clicker. Copy > paste as new image . Resize to fit clock face > adjust > sharpen  . Double click on selection/new image in layers palette > opacity 40%. Copy and paste onto face of clock.

7. Open frame # 3 from CC kit. Image > mirror > image > resize to 85% > edit repeat resize twice more. Open paper # 4 from kit . Image > resize to 85% > edit > repeat resize twice more > adjust > sharpen. Get magic wand  holding down shift key and left click inside both frames > marching ants > copy and paste paper # 4 " into selection" > selections > select none. Copy and paste onto tag " as new selection" and position as shown, carefully , with right brass tack of left frame  landing  at base of minute hand on clock or centered on middle of clock as shown > effects > 3D effects > drop shadow > selections > select none.

8. Open splat # 1 from CC kit.  Image > resize to 85% > edit > repeat resize twice more > adjust > sharpen more.  Using selection tool , rectangle shaped, start in upper left corner and pull down toward the lower right halfway , release left click > marching ants > copy > paste  as new image. Image > free rotate > 15% . Delete original splat . Copy and paste over top edge of  right side of frame " as new selection " > selections > select none.  Image > mirror > copy and  paste onto bottom left frame " as new selection" > selections > select  none.

9. Open wa4 from CC kit. Image > resize to 85% > adjust > sharpen . Copy and paste onto tag in 7th block from bottom and keep 1 and 1/2 blocks from sides . Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow > selections > select none.

10. Open tassle 2 from CC kit. Image > resize to 85% > edit > repeat resize twice more. Adjust > sharpen . Copy and paste onto tag " as new selection"  and position as shown keeping  bottom edge of tassle  two blocks from bottom of tag and 10 blocks from left side of tag.

11. Open Barbara Jensen tube ( I used stocking stuffer from pack 8 )  Image > resize to 85% > edit > repeat resize one time >  adjust > sharpen. Copy and paste onto wa4 gold bar " as new selection and position as shown with knee between words "happy" and " new" and fingers between " e" and "w"  in the word " new". Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow> selections> select none.

12. Open Champagne glasses from CC kit.  Image > resize to 85% > edit > repeat resize 3 times more > adjust > sharpen. Copy and paste onto tag " as new selection" and carefully position as shown with base of right glass touching edge of foot on Barbara Jensen tube > effects > 3D effects > drop shadow> selections> select none. Using magic wand , left click on glass in area of champagne ,hold down shift key and  cover area of champagne in both glasses > edit > copy > paste as new image and set this aside for later step.

13. Copy and paste tag into animation shop " as new animation" . Duplicate 1 time for a total of two frames.  Edit > select all > edit > copy . Left click on first frame of background masks in animation shop  > edit > select all > edit > paste into selected frame .

14. Open a new image in PSP ( file > new )  size 560 x 540 color white. . Copy and paste to animation shop " as new animation" . Duplicate once., total 2 frames.  Left click on first frame > edit > select all > edit > copy.  Left click on first frame of created tag in animation shop > edit > select all > edit > paste into selection. Your tag should now be created with a white back ground .

15. Get champagne from PSP selection set aside in step # 12 . Copy > paste into animation shop " as new animation"   . Duplicate for a total of two frames. Left click on first frame > edit > select all > effects > apply image effect > noise  ( settings opacity 100, intensity 185) . click ok. Left click on first frame of  champagne > edit > select all > edit > copy . Left click on first frame of tag > edit >select all > edit > paste into selected frame , and position on glasses .

16. Open fireworks from CC kit in PSP, Copy adn paste into animation shop " as new animation" Duplicate once for a total of two frames.  Left click on first frame of fireworks > effects > apply image effects > noise  using same settings and click ok.  Left click again on first frame > edit > select all > edit > copy. Left click on first frame of tag  > edit > select all > edit > paste into selected frame . 

17. Add proper credits to tag using animation principles (  you need two frames )  so duplicate your credits once , Left click again on first frame > edit > select all > edit > copy. Left click on first frame of tag > edit > select all > edit > paste into selected frame .
