Supplies

1.Animation Shop and PSP ( any version, I used PSP X2)

2. I am using the beautiful art of Barbara Jensen Pack 9 with layers HERE

3. WeeScottsLass Mask #  254 and 143. HERE

4. I am using the  ptu scrapkit and cluster frame called Queen of Hearts by Vicki @ GeminiCreations HERE

* Hints *

A. You should have working knowledge of psp and animation shop but with patience this tutorial can be done by beginners.,

B. Drop shadow settings : vertical 2, horizontal 1, Blurr 3.00 , opacity 100, color black.

C. Read entire tutorial before you begin.  If you dont want this tag animated,  you can skip step #2 for animation  and just use the masks without animating.

 ! Let's get started !

1. Open a new image in PSP size 540 x 540 pixels, tick the transparent box , click OK. Set Materials palette foreground to gold gradient ( i used metal brass )  and flood fill new file. Open WSL  mask #  254. Layers > new mask layer > from image . Copy and paste newly created mask layer onto flood filled file " as new layer " Layers > merge visible.  Delete mask.   Open another new file in psp, same as first. Change f/g in materials palette to color #b51b1e . Flood fill new file . Open WSL mask #  143  > layers > new mask layer > from image. Copy and paste onto new file " as new layer"  > layers Merge visible.  Delete mask . Copy and paste new red mask onto gold mask " as new layer " > merge visible.

2. Open New file in psp. Change f/g in materials palette to white, flood fill file. Open Animation shop and copy and paste white file into animation shop " as new animation". Right click > duplicate = total 2 frames.

3.In psp left click on merged masks. Layers > duplicate. Close off top layer in layers palette, highlight bottom layer > adjust > add/remove noice> add noise> uniform, monochrome> 25%.. close layer. Open and highlight top layer in layers palette > adjust >add/remove noise> add noise>  use same settings except change percentage to 30% . Close off top layer in layers palette and highlight bottom layer, copy and paste into animation shop " as new animation". Close layer off in psp, open and highlight top layer in psp layers palette, copy and paste into animation shop " after current frame ". = two frames. Left click on first frame of masks in A/S > edit > select all > edit > copy . Left click on first of white frames in A/S :> edit > select all> edit > paste into selected frame . Center while pasting. You should how have your masks merged onto a white background > view > animation  to check for animation. Close view.  Go back to PSP.

4. Open a new file in PSP  510 x 510 tick transparent box. Open gold glitter from kit and resize to 85% > edit > repeat resize twice more .Adjust > sharpen. Copy and paste onto tag  " as new selection"  and position in top half of tag > selections > select none. Left click on glitter > image > mirror > image > flip > copy and paste onto bottom half of tag " as new selection"  > selections >select  none.

5. Open hearts balloons from kit.  Image > resize to 85% > edit > repeat resize twice more . Get pick tool and push in by 1 block from each side. Copy and paste onto tag " as new selection" and position as shown staying 1 block from top of tag and slightly right of center. Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow > selections > select none. Set balloons aside for later step.

6. Open gold hearts from kit. Image > resize to 85% > edit repeat resize twice more > adjust > sharpen . Copy and paste onto tag " as new selection " and position as in 3rd block from top and in 7th block from left side of tag > effects > 3D effects > drop shadow > selections > select none.

7. Open queen of hearts playing card from kit. Image > resize to 85% > edit > repeat resize twice more. Adjust > sharpen. Image > free rotate > right > 18%. Copy and paste onto right side of tag " as new selection " , position as shown staying in 3rd block from right side of tag and in 5th block from top of tag. Effects :> 3D effects > drop shadow > selections > select none. Left click on card tube again . Image > free rotate > left  9%. Copy and paste card over first card and position as shown. Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow> selections > select none.

8.  Open red roses from kit . Image > resize to 85% . Edit > repeat resize 5 times more. Adjust > sharpen. Image > rotate right . Copy and paste onto bottom of tag staying two blocks off bottom and  and in 7th block from right side of tag. Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow. Selections > select none. Left click on rose tube > image> mirror > copy and paste onto bottom left side of tag " as new selection" and position as shown , 4th block from bottom and  7th block from left side of tag > effects > 3D effects > drop shadow > selections > select none.

9. Open castle from kit. Image > resize to 85% > edit >repeat resize twice more. Adjust > sharpen. .Copy and paste onto tag  " as new selection"  , position as shown 6th block from bottom of tag and two blocks from sides. Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow > selections > select none.

10. Open queen of hears cluster frame 2 ( this was a separate free download from same site ) . Image > resize to 85%. Edit > repeat resize twice more. Adjust > sharpen. Copy and paste onto tag " as new selection " and position as shown , over castle , shoulders of black n white argyle hearts should be 2 blocks off each side and  bottom of frame should cover bottom of castle. Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow > selections> select  none.

11. Open Barbara Jensen tube from pack 9.  I chose the red and black layers to match tag. Once layers are selectted , highlight bottom tube in layers palette , left click on tube in psp window > merge visible. Copy and paste as new image. Delete original tube but do not save changes.  Resize tube to 80%. Adjust . sharpen.  Copy and paste tube onto frame " as new selection" and position so that bottom of legs/tube is flush with inside bottom edge of frame > effects > 3D effects > drop shadow> selections > select none.

12.**OPTIONAL**  Left click on balloons set aside earlier. Image > resize to 85% once. Adjust > sharpen. Copy and paste onto tag " as new selection" and position as shown , over right side of Jensen tube. Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow > selections > select none.

13. Open gold bow 03 from tube . Image > resize to 85% , repeat resize five times more > adjust > sharpen. copy and paste onto bottom of Jensen tube over original bow on frame to cover edge of tube . Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow> selections > select none.

14. Get magic wand , on gold liner around red frame , hold down the shift key and click all over the gold liner of frame > marching ants > right click > copy > paste as new image.  Left click on tag > selections > select none.  ON new image of gold frame liner > layers > duplicate. Close top layer in palette, highlight bottom layer > adjust > add noise> same settings  as used with masks  first  25 % , then 30% on top layer , Once  noise applied to both layers, copy and paste bottom layer to animation shop as new animation, copy and paste top layer into animation shop " after current frame " = 2 frames.

15.  Back to psp .  Add proper credits to tag now , copy > paste into animation shop  " as new animation" . Left click on tag " duplicate" = two frames.  Left click on first frame > edit > select all > edit > copy.  Left click on first frame of tag back set aside earlier > edit > select all > edit > paste into selection"  and center on white background with masks. Apply same technique to gold inner lining of frame and carefully position onto tag.   Animations > view .  Check for proper animations, if nothing is blinking, " save as " and continue to click OK or next  until tag is saved as GIF.
